Advanced Development
The Advanced Development Program (ADP) is a self assessed set of exercises where you accept or repeat stages based on your known standards learned in previous training. Some involvement with Training Council will be required and you may refer to the Council or your critic at any time during your passage through the program.
Personal Development Program (PDP) and Intermediate Development Program (IDP) are totally club based, however some components of the ADP can be completed in an outside environment, thus giving you the ability to test your skills away from that considered comfort zone of your own club.
This program is designed not to be easy and self-assessment is a radical change, but without challenge you will receive little reward.
The ADP training exercises are:
- Accreditation as an Australian Rostrum Critic
- Operate as an Accredited Critic
- Write a 5-minute speech for someone else to deliver
- Deliver a Competition Speech
- Chair a demanding meeting
- Conduct an interactive training activity
- Acquire and use adjudication skills
